So what is a CSA anyway?
If you have taken a look at the website, you may have seen that we are offering CSA Subscriptions. But, what does that mean? CSA is an acronym standing for Community Supported Agriculture. The CSA functions as a way to help flower farmers and produce farmers alike get an idea of how many seeds and plants to purchase for the upcoming season. It often helps farmers not only in the planning, but in the purchasing - offering funds when they are otherwise typically slower, like during the winter months.
Flower CSA Subscriptions are offered at a slightly discounted price compared to what you will see in the farmstand or other pop-up shops. For our first summer season we are offering two different types of subscriptions. One is all about the sunflower. It will feature different varieties of sunflowers and foliage. The other subscription is our Farmer’s Choice. It will feature whatever flower is currently the star of the garden plus other fillers and foliage.
After we work our way through this summer growing season (through October) we are looking to expand our CSAs to spring subscription options. I’d love to hear what flowers you are interested in seeing us grow in the garden! You can message us using the contact form or through social to let us know.
